Finally made it to Paris after a day of travel hell, VERY excited to be here…. but, So many issues in between getting from point a to point b that I did not even have 5 minutes to grab food or I would’ve missed both of my flights…. I have a pretty bad dairy allergy and I preordered a vegan meal with @americanair days ago on both flights to ensure I would have meals since I’ve lost so much weight this much from being in rushed situations where I don’t even have a second to grab food… AA uses dairy and meat in 99.9% of their meals which makes it nearly impossible for a vegan to find anything aside from bread or lettuce on the plane, even most of their snacks all have cheese in them. I’m not vegan but it’s really hard for me to digest meat in the air and when I’m traveling for work and need to be 100% on I don’t like to take any chances, also ordering vegan ensures there’s no dairy since they never understand what dairy means in the flight. Both of my flights today told me they didn’t have my vegan order and that I could eat crackers and a roll. Seriously @americanair get with the program! Like I said I’m not vegan but I support anyone who is trying to be vegan to better the planet and companies like AA make it nearly impossible! The flight attendant also asked me if I was vegan by choice? Insinuating I could eat the meat if I really wanted to….. not okay…. I know this post will probably do nothing since airlines are the new cable companies and it will never change… but anyway shout out to the @americanexpress lounges at all the airports for having 50% of their dishes vegan or dairy free at the lounges, at least someone is with the program… at the @americanair lounges they normally only have one vegan option and it’s bread. Also the travel time from point A., my house to point B, the hotel in Paris is around 20 hours.
